Afternoon news On October 2, 2013, at approximately 8:30 a.m., City Police arrested and charged a 41-year-old male in relation to a domestic disturbance.

On October 2, 2013, at approximately 8:30 a.m., City Police arrested and charged a 41-year-old male in relation to a domestic disturbance. It is alleged that the accused attended at his girlfriend’s residence and assaulted her, broke her cordless phone, damaged drywall in her bedroom and stole a cheque belonging to her. 

At the time of the occurrence the accused was on three separate probation orders with numerous conditions. As a result, the accused was charged with assault, mischief under five thousand dollars X 2, theft under five thousand dollars and breach of probation X 5. He will be appearing in Bail Court on October 3, 2013.

A 40-year-old male was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and one count of mischief in regards to domestic incidents. It is alleged that between June 2012 and today’s date the accused assaulted the victim by choking her and slapping her and also damaged the victim’s door. He is scheduled to appear in Bail Court.

23-year-old Daniel Murphy of 160 Amber St. was arrested at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre on a warrant for two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged the accused did not notify change of address or report to probation and parole as required by his probation order. He is to appear in Bail Court.
