Evening news: On November 13, 2013 the accused male age 32 turned himself in at the police station regarding domestic matters.

Evening news:

On November 13, 2013 the accused male age 32 turned himself in at the police station regarding domestic matters. It is alleged that on or about September 4, 2013 the accused did confine the victim in her bedroom and also damaged clothing owned by the victim.  Further it is alleged that on November 5th the accused punched the victim in the face several times breaking the victim’s glasses and causing minor injuries to the victim’s face. The accused also put his hand over the victim’s nose and mouth causing the victim to lose her breath.  Further the accused did damage to a living room wall by throwing a coffee table into the wall causing a large hole.  A warrant was requested for assault X 3, breach of recognizance X 2, mischief X 2 and unlawful confinement.  The accused will appear in bail court on November 14, 2013 at 10:00 am.

On the morning of November 13, 2013 High School Liaison Officers assisted staff at a local high school in conducting a locker search. As a result of the search a 16 year old youth was found to be in possession of marijuana.   The youth was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and will be appearing in court December 13, 2013.

Sometime overnight suspects stole a cargo trailer containing tools from the property of Essar Steel. The trailer is described as a black 16 foot enclosed cargo trailer with a 2 inch strip of checker plate on the front flat nose and checker plate fenders.

8 Tires being stored at a rental property in the 100 block of Brien Ave. were reported stolen overnight.

Morning news:

On November 13 2013 at 12:05 am Police were called to the Centre Ice Bar to remove two intoxicated customers who were refusing to leave the premises.

Upon arrival officers observed two individuals in a physical altrication outside of the building assaulting a third male. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.

As a result 30 year old Jamie Gilmar of 226 Carlbert Street and 31 year old Corey St Louis of 39 Softwood Drive have both been charged with assault cause bodily harm and cause disturbance. Both males will be attending bail court this morning.

On November 12th, 2013 at 4:20 pm Detectives arrested and charged Karen Swanson, age 39 of 167 Albert St. East Unit # 2 with two counts of Fraud under $5,000.00, Uttering a Forged Document and Breach of Probation. It is alleged that in May of 2013 Swanson cashed a forged cheque to made payable to herself. And further that in October of this year while on probation, Swanson illegally used another person’s information to sign up for data services. She is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 16th.
