On October 8 Police Officers attended Walmart on Bay Street for two adult shoplifters.
Officers arrested and charged Kya-Lee Neven, age 19 and Jody Edwards age 22 both of 90 Grace St. with Theft under $5,000.00.
They will appear in court on November 18.
Morning news
On October 7, 2013 the accused age 27 was involved in a domestic violence incident resulting in several charges.
It is alleged that the accused was at the residence of his ex-girl friend’s when an argument ensued.
The accused hit the victim in the chest and punched the victim in the face.
The accused then forced the victim into the bedroom and accosted the victim with a knife forcing unwanted sexual activity.
The accused choked the victim and threatened to kill the victim.
The victim was forced to stay in the residence until the accused later left.
The accused is on probation not to be at the residence of the victim, not to molest harass or physically interfere with the victim and a non communication order is also in place. Police located the accused a short time later.
The accused was arrested and charged with assault, sexual assault with a weapon, choking, threatening death, forcible confinement and breach of probation X 3.
A further check of the accused was done and it was found that there were outstanding warrants for breach of probation X 2, unlawfully at large and also warrants under the Christopher’s Law legislation.
The accused will appear in bail court on October 8, 2013 at 10 a.m.
