On Monday March 3, 2014, a 20-year-old male was arrested at the Sault Ste. Marie courthouse on an outstanding warrant for domestic related charges.
It is alleged that in the early hours of February 16, the male assaulted his 21-year-old girlfriend by pushing and kicking her, resulting in minor injuries that did not require medical attention. The male also caused mischief by damaging property within the home. It is further alleged that the male had been consuming alcohol prior to this incident occurring. At the time of the incident the male was on a recognizance with conditions to be in residence from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., and to abstain from alcohol.
The accused male will be attending bail court this morning.

54-year-old Daniel Plastino of Ascott Avenue was arrested and charged with assault and uttering threats after police were called to a family dispute in the city’s west end on March 3, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. It is alleged that Daniel Plastino assaulted a male known to him and threatened to kill the victim and his family. He will appear in court on April 7, 2014.
19-year-old Jesse Thorne of Amber St. was arrested at court today. Thorne was wanted for one count of operating a motor vehicle while disqualified and one count of breach of undertaking for failing to abide by the release condition “not to occupy the driver's seat of a motor vehicle”. Thorne had been observed driving a 2004 Dodge Dakota on Pine Street on the 25th of February, 2014. Thorne will appear in bail court Tuesday morning.
