One Person for Bail Court Today The only entry for bail court this morning is 18 year-old Joshua Drake of 16 Crawford Avenue in Bruce Mines. He was arrested on the 28th of January at 3 pm on Great Northern Road on outstanding warrants.

The only entry for bail court this morning is 18 year-old Joshua Drake of 16 Crawford Avenue in Bruce Mines. He was arrested on the 28th of January at 3 pm on Great Northern Road on outstanding warrants. He was charged with two counts of breach of a release document for failing to report on the 2nd of January to the John Howard Society as part of his bail release condition and for failing to attend court on the 14th of January.

Impaired Driving

27 year-old David Maida of 15 Dawson Street was arrested on the 29th of January at 12:56 am on Alpine Street and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 29th of January at approximately 12:55 am the accused was observed by city police driving at a very low rate of speed in the area of Broadview Avenue and Alpine Street. The vehicle was observed striking the snow bank several times on Alpine Street. When police stopped the vehicle and checked the driver, the accused, he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He is to appear in court on the 3rd of March.

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

18 year-old Michel (male) Ferreira of 6 Hawthorne Avenue was arrested on the 28th of January at 6:50 pm at the Station Mall and charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that on the 28th of January at approximately 6:18 pm the accused attended at the Station Mall and at the time he was on a two year trespass ban from the Mall. When Store Security apprehended the accused it is alleged that he was found in possession of stolen merchandise from Zellers and from the San Francisco Gift Store. The accused was held for police. He is to appear in court on the 3rd of March.

Two Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

1) 21 year-old John Sayers-Thibault of 103 White Birch Drive in Garden River was arrested by the Anishinabek Police Service in Garden River at 12:05 am on an outstanding warrant held by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. He was transported to the city police station and charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. He is to appear in court on the 3rd of March.

2) 45 year-old Nolan Gibbs of 47 Vera Street was arrested on the 28th of January at 3:45 pm at the court house on an outstanding warrant and charged with one count of failing to appear court from the 15th of January 2008. He is to appear in court on the 10th of March.
