Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

36 year-old Michael Miller of 329 Alexander Street was arrested on Carmen’s Way at 9:45 am on the 21st of April on several outstanding warrants and charged with three counts of fail to appear court from the 19th of March, 10th of December, 21st of November 2007 and one count of fail to appear for prints from the 26th of November. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Impaired Driving

34 year-old Richard Hazzard of 2866 Base Line was arrested on the 21st of April at 11:30 pm on Shatruck Drive and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of fail to provide breath sample. It is alleged that on the 21st of April around 10:58 pm the accused was driving his Dodge Pickup southbound on Shatruck Drive and when approaching the Walls Road area, he drove off the roadway into the ditch. When officers attended to investigate the accident, they found the accused to be under the influence of alcohol. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was not damaged. The accused is to appear in court on the 2nd of June.

Arrested for Breach & Theft at the Station Mall

A 16 year-old male youth was arrested on the 21st of April at 6:30 pm at the Station Mall and charged with two counts of breach of probation and count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 21st of April at approximately 6 pm the accused attended at Sears in the Station Mall and stole a Philips Rotary Shaver and fled. After a short foot pursuit, the accused was apprehended just south of the mall by store security and held for police. At the time of the incident the accused was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was on probation conditions to keep the peace and be good and not to consume any alcohol. He is to appear in court on the 3rd of June.

Break & Enter

There was on break and enter reported yesterday to a residence on Wallace Terrace that occurred from the 15th – 18th of April. A Laptop, a docking station and keyboard were reported stolen.

Stolen Bicycles

Three bicycles an one helmet were reported stolen yesterday from residences on Frontenac Street, Knox Avenue, Cathcart Street and the 4000 block of Second Line West.
