Traffic stop results in impaired driving charges

Accused is scheduled to appear in court April 19

Sault Police have charged [charges withdrawn] with impaired driving following a traffic stop on Willoughby Street early this morning.

In a news release issued today, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service reports that officers suspected the 23-year-old's ability to drive was impaired by alcohol, and the accused later failed two breath tests.

The accused stands charged with impaired driving – alcohol and drugs, impaired driving – blood alcohol concentration (80), and is scheduled to appear in court on April 19.
