On the 19th of September, 2013 members of the Drug Enforcement Unit and Crime Suppression Unit conducted an investigation into the possession of cocaine.

On the 19th of September, 2013 members of the Drug Enforcement Unit and Crime Suppression Unit conducted an investigation into the possession of cocaine. As a result of the investigation officers located and arrested 30-year-old Anthony Cadreau of 167 Gore Street. It is alleged the accused had in his possession 7 grams of cocaine which has a street value of approximately $700. The accused stands charged with possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking. He will appear in court October 21, 2013.

On September 19, 2013 at approximately 3 p.m. patrol officers in the area of Albert Street and Blucher Street had occasion to interact with 23-year-old Natasha Baxter of 28 Wellington Street East. Investigation revealed that Baxter had an outstanding warrant for her arrest for breaching conditions of her probation order. She was subsequently arrested and will be appearing in court on October 21.

A 23-year-old and a 21-year-old woman were charged with theft under $5000 on September 18. It is alleged the two were in Romes Independent Grocers putting items in a stroller where one of the accused two small children were in. They then left the store without paying for these items. They will be appearing in Provincial Court October 21.

21 year old Rebecca Fleming of 55 Salisbury Ave. was arrested by City Police officers overnight for assault and Breach of Probation. It is alleged the accused assaulted a female care worker by pulling her arm and kicking her. Fleming was also on conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. She will be appearing on Provincial Court on October 21st.

City Police officers were called to check on the well being of a male sleeping in a tent in the Queen West / Carmen’s Way area overnight. A check on the male revealed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for breaching a condition of his recognizance. A further check of his recognizance revealed that he was not residing where he was supposed to be, as directed. As a result he was charged with breaching that order x 2 and will be appearing in Bail Court later this morning.

In the afternoon of September 18th , 34 year old Brett Warnock of 429 Wellington Street East had an altercation in the Grace and Bruce Street area with another male known to him. It is alleged the accused kicked over an E Bike the victim was sitting on causing damage to the bike. He then pointed his hand at the male in the shape of a gun and stated he was going to kill him. Warnock then began hitting the victim several times with a fishing rod; again stating several times he was going to kill him. As a result, Mr. Warnock was charged with Assault with a weapon, uttering death threats and mischief to property. He was also on Probation with a condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He will be appearing in Bail Court later today.

A 38 year old male was arrested by City Police officers Wednesday night for a domestic related assault. It is alleged he struck the female victims head off of the floor and wall. He was also on several conditions relating to the female victim and was charged accordingly with 4 counts of breaching those conditions. He will be appearing in Bail Court as well.
