Evening news On October 3, 2013 at 4:40 pm 22 year old Cody Cuthberson, who is currently in custody at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre, was charged by City Police today with threatening and breaching a condition of his probation.

On October 3, 2013 at 4:40 pm 22 year old Cody Cuthberson, who is currently in custody at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre, was charged by City Police today with threatening and breaching a condition of his probation. It is alleged he threatened a worker at the ATRC in September. He will be appearing in Bail Court tomorrow.

Morning news

On October 2, 2013 at 4:30 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 19 year old male with two counts of Breach of Probation. The male was on probation with conditions not to communicate with a female victim from a prior domestic incident. He failed to comply with this condition and will now appear in court on October 3rd, 2013.

On October 2, 2013 at 6:15 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged Clinton Perrault, age 42 of 196 James St. Sault Ste. Marie with Theft under $5,000.00 and Breach of Undertaking. Perrault is alleged to have shoplifted food items from RJ’s Market. At the time of this offense he was on an undertaking to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He will appear in court on October 3rd, 2013.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated four break ins overnight. A garage was entered on Glenwood Ave. and alcohol was taken. The remaining three break ins were to homes on Mark St., Willoughby St. and Tilley Rd. where thieves stole jewelry.

Yesterday morning police attended at a residence in the 200 block of Wellington Street East for a break and enter.  It unknown what was taken.

Yesterday morning between 2:30 am and 8:45 am a home was entered on Farquhar Street.  Items taken include cigarettes, a small amount of money and an Iphone.

Yesterday morning a resident on Ruscio Court reported mischief to their vehicle.  Two tires had been slashed overnight.

A vehicle on Adrian Drive was entered overnight between the 1st and 2nd of October.  An Ipod was taken.
