On October 10, 2013 at 12:50 pm Gordon Wayne Leonard, 47 years, of 203 Goulais Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie, ON was arrested and charged with mischief.  Mr. Leonard was in his upstairs apartment, allegedly making excessive noise that was disturbing to the neighbours. Despite being warned by Police, Mr. Leonard persisted with his behaviour. He will be appearing in Court on November 18, 2013.

Morning news

On October 9 at approximately 9:00 p.m. police received a call to Lansdowne Ave for a break and enter in progress by an alert neighbor. When police arrived they observed a male exiting and then running away from the residence. After a short foot pursuit the accused was apprehended.  A search of the accused located stolen items from the residence and alcohol. The accused was also on probation to keep the peace, be of good behaviour and not to possess any alcohol. Charged with Break and Enter, possession of stolen property and two counts of breach of probation is 22 year old Nicolas Vincenzo Fronzi of 56 Willow Ave. Police records also showed a warrant for the accused for theft and breach of probation in regards to a theft from ROMES Grocery Store on September 3 2013. The accused will appear in Bail Court this morning.

Break and Enter

 A break and enter was reported on Glenwood Ave.  Alcohol was taken

Between 10 pm on the 8th of October and 11 am on the 9th of October a residence in the 300 block of Albert Street East was entered.  A 50 inch Samsung television was taken.

Underpass is open

Last evening the underpass at Wellington Street West and Carmens Way was closed for several hours due to transport with a lost load on the road.  The underpass has since been opened. Officers from Traffic Services are continuing the investigation.
