Male Arrested for Damaging a Treatment Room at Sault Area Hospital:

28 year-old Martin Vine of #1-2 Queen Street East was arrested by city police at 2:45 pm on the 26th of November at the Sault Area Hospital and charged with one count of mischief over $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 26th of November at 2:26 pm the accused was at the Sault Area Hospital in a treatment room when he became very agitated and started to yell and throw things around inside the room. Security and Police were called in by staff to assist. The room received extensive damage, including a water pipe inside the room that was broken when the accused struck it with a chair. The room and the surrounding area flooded as a result. The accused was compliant and responsive to police when they entered the room and he was arrested without further incident.
The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Male Wanted for Theft at Soo Mill Located and Arrested:

25 year-old Tyson Seabrook of no fixed address was arrested on the 26th of November at 5:50 pm on Grace Street and charged with four counts of theft under $5,000.00, four counts of possession of property obtained by crime, two count of breach of a release order and one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. The offences took place over a three day spree – The accused attended at Soo Mill on three separate occasions - on the 15th the 16th and 17th –In all – two hammer drills, an impact driver and cordless drill were stolen. Again all the thefts were caught on video with the accused concealing the items within his coat. At the time of the incident the accused was on a recognizance release order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to notify any change in address to city police and had moved since the release and had not notified the police.
At the time of his arrest, the accused was found in possession of a small amount of marihuana.
The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Domestic Related Arrest:

A 44 year- male was arrested on the 26th of November at 7:15 pm at the city police station and charged with six counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that since the 22nd of November the accused has telephoned his ex-wife, has written letters and faxed her at her workplace. The accused is on probation not to communicate with her and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Male Arrested after Shooting at Vehicles with Pellet Gun:

21 year-old Abraham McMillan of #2-124 Letcher Street was arrested on the 26th of November at 11:01 pm at his residence and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000.00 and one count of careless use of firearm.
It is alleged that on the 26th of November at approximately 10:40 pm the accused fired a pellet pistol at a passing vehicle on Letcher Street from his upstairs apartment window. The vehicle received damage to the driver’s side fender as a result. The accused is to appear in court on the 5th of January.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter Reports:


• A shed on a residence property in the 700 block of McAllen Street was entered on the 26th of November sometime between 7:30 and 10:30 am. A snow blower was stolen.
• A garage on McNamara Drive was entered sometime between the 25th and 26th of November. A bike was reported stolen.
• A residence in the 200 block of Dacey Road was entered sometime on the 25th of November. Medication was reported stolen.

Theft Reports:

Vehicles were entered in the 600 block of North Street, the 100 block of Pozzebon Crescent, on Heath Road and in the apartment complex lot at 41 Old Garden River Road where a vehicle window was smashed and entry gained. Items reported stolen included change, a cell phone and CD’S.

City police remind the public to lock their vehicles and not leave any valuables or other personal property inside when parked unattended.
