Evening news: On November 21, 2013 at approximately 11:25am Catlyn Shanie Goodmurphy, age 23 attended the city police station in regards to two outstanding warrants. The accused was originally charged with assault and a bench warrant was issued.

On November 21, 2013 at approximately 11:25am Catlyn Shanie Goodmurphy, age 23 attended the city police station in regards to two outstanding warrants.  The accused was originally charged with assault and a bench warrant was issued. The accused was further charged with failing to attend court on the original charge of assault.  The accused will appear in court on December 23, 2013 at 9:00am.

On November 18 it is alleged that a male age 48 and his common law wife engaged in an argument at which time the accused threatened to smash one of the victim’s leg.  Police attended the residence on November 21, 2013 on another matter and the threat was disclosed by the victim.  The accused was arrested for threatening to cause bodily harm.  The accused will appear in bail court November 22, 2013 at 10:00am.

Morning news:

Yesterday afternoon City Police attended at Walmart on Great Northern Road.  It is alleged that 18 year old Richard McRae of 19 Westin Road, Batchewana Bay selected a pair of headphones and left the store without paying for them.  The accused has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and will appear in court on the 23rd of December 2013.

Yesterday morning a resident on Woodward Avenue reported that overnight an IPod and other items were stolen from their vehicle.

The St. Ignace Church and a trailer on Cathcart Street were spray painted sometime overnight on the 19th and 20th.

Last evening there was an attempt break and enter to a garage on Dell Avenue.

On November 20, 2013 at 8:30 am Police Officers arrested and charged a 37 year old male with Threatening Death. Officers learned that the male had telephoned his ex spouse and threatened to harm her. He will now appear in court on November 21st.
