Police Remind the Public to Drive Safe

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service would like to remind drivers to adjust their driving habits according to weather conditions. Drivers and pedestrians should allow themselves a little more travel time to arrive at their destinations. The recent snow fall has caused the roadways to become more slippery and dangerous. A number of vehicle collisions have occurred because drivers are not slowing down on slippery roadways. Officers are also asking the public to reduce their speeds when coming upon an accident. Slow down for emergency vehicles, including police cruisers, fire trucks, ambulances and tow trucks. Watch carefully for pedestrians and working crew at the scene.
