Shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday, an adult male was robbed in the area of Northern Avenue and Sackville Road. The victim was jumped by three males and his wallet was taken. One of the males was approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build.

Shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday, an adult male was robbed in the area of Northern Avenue and Sackville Road. The victim was jumped by three males and his wallet was taken. One of the males was approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build.  The two other males were a bit shorter. No further description of the males is available. The victim was injured but did not require medical treatment for his injuries. The suspects fled on foot in a southern direction. Several officers attended in the area along with Police Dog Justice. Officers were unable to locate the suspects however; the victim’s wallet was recovered minus an undisclosed amount of money. Yesterday morning officers from Patrol Services arrested a 38-year-old male and charged him with three counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused attended at the residence of his ex-girlfriend and got into an argument with her. The police were subsequently called. The accused on was probation with conditions not to attend at her residence, not to communicate with her and to keep the peace and be of good behavior. He will appear in bail court this morning.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. this morning, city police attended at Aaron’s Rent to Own in the Churchill Plaza for a break and enter. A small undisclosed amount of cash of taken.

On April 2, 2014 at 5:25 p.m., patrol officers stopped a vehicle on Gore Street. Officers found the driver to be wanted on warrants for Failing to Attend Court and a Surety Revocation. The driver, Donald Turner, age 43 of 168 Gore St., was arrested on the strength of these warrants. He will appear in court on April 3.

On April 2, 2014 at 8:10 p.m., patrol officers attended at an east end residence for a disturbance call. Officers located a 51-year-old male to be arguing with an adult female. A police records check revealed that the male was on a probation order not to communicate or associate with the female. Officers arrested and charged the male with 3 counts of breach of probation. He will appear in court on April 3, 2014.

On April 2, 2014 at 6:05 p.m., patrol officers arrested and charges James Syrette, 41 years old of Wellington Street East, with Theft Under $5000.00, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Breach of Probation. Officers learned that Syrette had shoplifted groceries from the Metro store located at 248 Northern Ave. East. Further Syrette was on a Probation Order to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. He will appear in court on April 3, 2014.
