Driving while Disqualified 51 year-old William Neil of 32 Hiedi Street, Heyden, Ontario was arrested on the 23rd of April around 11 am on Conmee Avenue and charged with one count of operate motor vehicle while disqualified.
Driving while Disqualified

51 year-old William Neil of 32 Hiedi Street, Heyden, Ontario was arrested on the 23rd of April around 11 am on Conmee Avenue and charged with one count of operate motor vehicle while disqualified. It is alleged that at 10:43 am city police stopped and checked a vehicle on Conmee Avenue and discovered that the driver, the accused, was disqualified from driving by a court order as a result of an impaired driving charge and conviction. He is to appear in court on the 2nd of June.

Assault

A 13 year-old male youth was arrested on the 23rd of April at 10:04 am at a local Elementary School and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 23rd of April at 9:30 am while at the school, the accused assaulted a fellow male student by pushing and tripping him. There were no injuries reported. The accused is to appear in court on the 27th of May.

Theft Under $5,000

A 14 year-old male youth was arrested yesterday around 7:44 pm and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 23rd of April while at home, the accused stole some money from his mother’s wallet and left. He was located later by police in the area of Willow Avenue and arrested. He is to appear in court on the 3rd of June.

Possession

36 year-old Allen Hill of #2-470 John Street was arrested on the 24th of April at 2:15 am on Queen Street East and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance. It is alleged that city police stopped and checked a vehicle on Queen Street East that the accused was a passenger in. A check revealed that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for a drug charge from the 11th of January. At the time of his arrest he was found in possession of a small amount of cocaine. He is to appear in court on the 2nd of June.

There were two break and enters reported yesterday:

1) A residence on Hugill Street was entered sometime after 10 pm on the 22nd of April and 7 am on the 23rd. Some jewellery and cash were reported stolen.

2) A shed on Dryden Avenue was entered after 3 am on the 23rd of April. A 110 CC Dirt Bike, a Motorcross helmet, gloves and a gas can were reported stolen.

Vehicles Damaged

Five vehicles that were parked in a parking lot in the area of Northern Avenue and Reid Street yesterday morning had windshields damaged. The damage was possibly caused by a pellet gun.
