On the 7 December 2013 at approximately 11p.m., City Police observed an [allegedly] intoxicated female on Pim St. They checked and found that she was on a bail document to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. A further check revealed several outstanding warrants by the Ontario Provincial Police in Sault Ste. Marie for taking a motor vehicle without consent, fail to comply with an undertaking and fail to remain at the scene of an accident. Tina Waboose (age 24) of Bahwating St. will be appearing in Bail court on 9 December 2013 at 9 a.m. to answer to the above charges.
On the 8 December 2013, City Police responded to a Queen St business where it is alleged an employee was assaulted by a patron by being punched in the face. The victim did not require hospital treatment. Charged with assault is Shane Desanti (age 23) of Old Mill Rd in Aweres Township. He will be appearing in court on the 13th January 2014 at 9 a.m.
