On person was arrested Tuesday morning after police were called to a Trunk Road business in relation to a robbery.
Police allege that the accused, 27-year-old Alicia Mancino, was asked to leave the business for attempting to shoplift approximately $500 worth of goods.
It was then that Mancino threatened to assault the staff before leaving with $107.32 in merchandise, says a news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
The accused was located in the area by responding officers a short time later.
Mancino is scheduled to appear in court on March 4 and stands charged with:
• Robbery with theft
• Failure to comply with probation order
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Mancino is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
