On September 7th, 2013 at 8:30 am Police Officers stopped a vehicle on Shannon Rd. for a traffic violation. A computers records check revealed the 18 year old driver was prohibited from driving and on release conditions from when he was a young person. The male was arrested and charged with two counts of Drive Disqualified, Breach of Undertaking and Fail to comply with a Disposition under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He will appear on court on October 7th. 

Morning news

A break and enter was reported to a residence in the 100 block of Panoramic Drive. Unknown persons entered between 2:00 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. and stole a quantity of jewelry.

A 14 year old male was arrested on warrants for theft under $5000, fail to attend for fingerprints and fail to attend court. He was released on a promise to appear in court on October 15th.

A 44 year old male was arrested over night after police received information he was breaching his court order by being in the company of a female he was to avoid, consuming alcohol when he was prohibited and failing to live where he was ordered to live stemming from a previous domestic violence incident. He will appear in WASH (weekend and statutory holiday) court this morning.

A resident in the 200 block of Breton Road reported that his vehicle was stolen. The vehicle is described as a 2000 Chrysler Intrepid 4 door blue with Ontario plate # BCBC 206.

22 year old William Trudeau of 32 Batchewana Street in Rankin was arrested on an outstanding warrant for breach of a recognizance of bail. It is alleged that the accused failed to report to the John Howard Society as required by a previous bail release. He will be appearing in WASH court this morning.
