At approximately 6:10 this morning, City Police received a call about a motor vehicle being driven in an erratic manner. Officers located the vehicle being driven on Northern Avenue and stopped it near the Zellers Plaza. The patrol officers found that the driver of the vehicle was impaired by alcohol. 49-year-old Pavanan Pottekkat was arrested and charged with impaired driving and drive with over 80 mg. The accused will appear in court on October 21.
A 32-year-old male was arrested and charged today following a domestic incident that occurred yesterday. The male has been charged with harassing phone calls and will appear in court on October 16.

On September 13, 2013 at approximately 2:20 p.m. the accused Steffen Maxwell is alleged to have broken into a residence in the 100 block of Palace Drive.The culprit was confronted by the owners of the residence on their return home. The homeowners chased the culprit as he fled on foot. The accused was located by police on Plaintree Drive and apprehended. The accused stole a jewelry box, briefcase and a large amount of jewelry.
The accused was also found to be in possession of a stolen necklace and pendant from a break and enter that had occurred on September 6, 2013.
A search warrant was executed at the accused’s residence at 18 Panoramic Drive, apartment # 1.
Items from a break and enter that occurred on July 11, 2013 and a second break and enter that occurred on August 22 were located at the residence.
The accused was also in possession of a prohibited weapon (bear spray) and a small amount of cocaine.
The accused, Steffen Marc Maxwell age 22, stands charged with two counts of break and enter, four counts of possession of stolen property, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
The accused will appear in WASH (weekend and statutory holiday court) on September 14, 2013.
