SAULT FATALITY LAST NIGHT
City police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Sault Ste. Marie that claimed the life of an 11-year old boy. It was a pedestrian/vehicle accident at the corner of Second Line and Allen's Side Road at approximately 10:30 last night.
The initial investigation indicates the vehicle rolled over after striking the boy. He was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Accident reconstruction experts from the Sault Police Traffic Unit were at the scene until 5:00 this morning.
The boy' is name is not being released pending notification of next of kin. Other details such as identification and condition of the driver will likely be made later today and will be posted on this site.
