City Police were called to the bus terminal on Queen Street yesterday afternoon regarding a disturbance. Investigation revealed that a fight had taken place between a male and two other persons.

City Police were called to the bus terminal on Queen Street yesterday afternoon regarding a disturbance. Investigation revealed that a fight had taken place between a male and two other persons. It is alleged that 26-year-old Jacob Gilbert of Queen St. West assaulted a male by punching and kicking him and then assaulted a female by picking her up and slamming her to the ground. He was arrested and charged with assault and assault causing bodily harm and will be appearing in WASH court later this morning.

City Police officers attended to the OPP detachment in Espanola yesterday afternoon to pick up 43-year-old Christopher Mitchell of Sault Ste Marie on outstanding warrants. Mitchell was wanted for robbery, using a disguise, possessing a firearm and assault with a weapon stemming from an incident which occurred at the Medicine Shop in April of 2013. He will be appearing in WASH court as well.

A 32-year-old male was arrested overnight and charged with two counts of assault and threatening as a result of a domestic incident. It is alleged the male assaulted his common law spouse on March 20 by choking her and then on the 22 he punched her in the chest area and told her he was going to get a gun and kill her. He will be appearing in WASH court later this morning.
