Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision on McNabb St. Algoma Avenue At 7:07 p.m. on the 31st of August.

Police Officers were called to the scene of a collision involving a pick up truck and a cyclist.

The cyclist was transported to the Sault Area Hospital where the female cyclist succumbed to her injuries. 

The investigation is continuing and further details will be released on the morning of Sept 1.

44 year old Gary Levar of 879 Fourth Line West was charged with one count of possession of stolen property.  Mr. Levar was stopped by police while driving and it is alleged that the tires and wheels on the vehicle had been reported stolen by a local car dealership on May 1st.  Mr. Levar will be appearing in bail court on Sept. 4th.

An office area of a residence in the 200 block of Kingsford Road was reported broken into.  An I-Pad and cords were reported stolen.

An individual reported the theft of an antique clock.  It is reported that the owner gave the clock to an individual for repairs and when the owner followed up he found that the individual had moved and changed his phone number.  The matter is under investigation.

A resident in the 1400 block of Queen Street East reported that unknown persons entered her shed and smeared what is believed to be feces on the seat of her bicycle.
