Police seized more than $10,000 worth of narcotics following a traffic stop last evening on Carmen's way, states a news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
Jordan Porter was stopped by patrol officers and arrested after it was discovered that he was wanted for breach of probation.
During a search of the 32-year-old accused, officers seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and benzodizapine.

On Feb. 3, 2022, officers with the Drug Enforcement Unit and Patrol Services charged 32-year-old Jordan Porter with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Around 9 p.m., officers observed a man on a bicycle travelling north bound on Carmen’s Way without lights. Officers conducted a traffic stop and upon speaking with the man identified him as the accused. Officers discovered he was wanted for breach of probation and he was arrested.
A subsequent search found him to be in possession of approximately 16 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl, approximately 18 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, 41 pills of a substance believed to be benzodizapine and $3,780 in Canadian currency. The estimated street value of the narcotics seized is $10,438.
He is charged with:
• possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking x3
• Breach of probation
Mr. Porter was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 4, 2022.
