A portion of Wellington Street East was blocked off this morning as Sault police conducted an operation.
Sault Police spokesperson Lincoln Louttit told SooToday the police presesnce was in response to a weapons call.
Traffic was blocked in both directions between Pine and Elizabeth streets.
At least two people were detained but later released on the scene. Louttit said he didn't have any information on charges or arrests.
By 10:05 a.m., tactical officers had left the scene and the road was reopened.
