Earlier today, Sault Police officers charged a 35-year-old man in connection with an incident that took place this month.
According to a news release, police received a report that someone damaged a business in the 300 block of Pim Street at around 2:10 p.m. on Oct. 15.
“An investigation revealed the accused had broken into the business and caused damage to the property. A warrant was obtained for their arrest,” police said.
Today, police received reports of someone knocking on windows and doors in the 0-100 block of Cameron Avenue.
“Officers were dispatched to the area. Officers located the accused, who matched the description of the suspect. They were arrested on the strength of a warrant,” police said.
Police charged Tyler Dunn with break and enter – commit indictable offence, mischief – under $5,000 x2, and failure to comply with a probation order.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Dunn is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
