Officer spit on after responding to noise complaint, police say

On March 11, 2019, officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 32-year-old Donald Jordan of no fixed address with assaulting a peace officer.

Officers responded to a noise complaint in the 0-100 block of Manitou Drive in the afternoon of March 11, 2019. Officers found the accused at the location. He was arrested for breaching the peace. At that time, it’s alleged the accused was uncooperative with police and attempted to pull away.

Later when officers escorted the accused to a police vehicle, it’s alleged he attempted to run, and then spit on an officer. He is charged with one count of assaulting a peace officer.

He was held for bail court.
