Multiple break-ins lead to theft and mischief charges

On Feb. 27, 2019 officers with the Break and Enter Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 28-year-old Cody Bjornaa of Pim Street for possession of stolen property.

It’s alleged on Feb. 23, 2019 the accused and another male attempted to sell various items that had been reported stolen earlier that week. He is charged with one count of possession of stolen property and two counts of breach of probation.

It’s further alleged that on Jan. 16, 2019 the accused and another male stole a vehicle. Later that day the two men entered a business on Conmee Avenue, stealing money from equipment inside.

He faces one count of theft under $5,000, one count of mischief, one count of possession of break-in tools, one count of motor vehicle theft and one count of breach of probation.

It’s also alleged that on July 25, 2018 the accused entered a garage on Maple Street and stole various items from inside. He is charged with one count of break and enter.

He was held for bail court.
