Afternoon news A business in the 200 block of Northern Avenue was broken into overnight when thieves smashed out a front window. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the register.

A business in the 200 block of Northern Avenue was broken into overnight when thieves smashed out a front window. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the register. The same business was broken into on the 8th of September which was reported yesterday.

A work trailer parked on London Street was spray painted sometime overnight.

An apartment in the 200 block of Pim Street was entered sometime today when the occupants were not home. Jewelry and some money were stolen.

Morning news

On September 7th the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service reported a stolen vehicle from the 200 block of Breton Road.  The vehicle has since been recovered.

On the 7th of September between 4:30 pm and 10 pm a break and enter was reported to a residence in the 700 block of Second Line West.  Medication and money were taken.

A residence in the 100 block of Chartwell Drive was broken into between the 6th and the 9th of September.  A MacBook Pro Laptop was taken.

The Lottery Shop on Queen Street East was broken into around 3:30 am this morning. A quantity of cigarettes was taken.

On September 8, 2013 shortly after 9:00 pm Police Officers were called to a residence on Wallace Terrace for a domestic dispute. Officers learned that an 18 year old male had been arguing with his girlfriend and as the argument escalated the male damaged a door. The male has been arrested and charged with Mischief under $5,000.00. In addition the male was on court imposed conditions not to consume alcohol and was found to be intoxicated. Subsequently he charged with Breach of Recognizance. He will appear in court on Sept. 9th.

A 17 year old youth turned himself in at the Police Station regarding two warrants for failing to comply with a previous probation order. He has been charged with Breach of Probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He will attend court on Oct. 8th.
