Appearing in bail court today 34 year-old Andrew Jackson of #2-696 Pine Street was arrested on the 31st of October just before 6 pm on Pine Street and charged with three counts of threaten death or bodily harm and one count of breach of probation.

34 year-old Andrew Jackson of #2-696 Pine Street was arrested on the 31st of October just before 6 pm on Pine Street and charged with three counts of threaten death or bodily harm and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 31st of October around 5:30 pm the accused attended in the parking lot of his former room mate’s apartment complex in the 600 block of Pine Street, got into a verbal argument with him and wanted to engage in a fight with him. The victim refused and went into his apartment. The accused left for a short while but returned and stood outside the window of the victim and started to make threats to stab him and two other persons that were in the apartment at the time. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.



A 13 year-old male youth was arrested on the 1st of November at 9:43 am at his residence and charged with one count of theft over $5,000.00, one count of breach of probation and one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that in the early morning hours on the 1st of November the accused stole a 2004 Chevrolet Mini Van from a driveway of a residence on Ashgrove Avenue. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation and a recognizance order with curfew conditions to be in his residence and he was also to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Male Arrested for Sexual Assault

20 year-old Christopher Desaulnier of 67 Creekside Lane was arrested on the 1st of November at 8:41 pm on Second Line West and charged with one count of sexual assault. It is alleged that on the 1st of November around 2 am the accused sexually assaulted a 16 year-old female that was known to him at a west end residence. The accused is to appear in court on the 8th of December.

Two Males Arrested at Local Bar After Resisting Police Officers

On the 31st of October around 10 pm city police were called to a local west end bar after two intoxicated males were asked to leave by staff and refused. When police attended and also instructed the two men to leave, several times, they refused and struggled with the officers. One of the males pulled at the officer, attempted to flee and continuously refused to comply with their instructions. The male grabbed a hold of the push bars of the cruiser and refused to let go. The male was eventually tasered due to the degree of resistance and when no other use of force would subdue him. The accused was not injured.
As a result, the accused, 40 year-old Scott Boyd of 363 7th Avenue was charged with one count of resist peace officer, one count of intoxicated in a public place under the Liquor Licence Act and one count of fail to leave premises when directed under the Trespass to Property Act.
The second male, 39 year-old Todd Roland of no fixed address was also charged with one count of resist peace officer, one count of intoxicated in a public place under the Liquor Licence Act and one count of fail to leave premises when directed under the Trespass to Property Act.

Impaired Driver Arrested

27 year-old Keith Bowser of 531 Bush Street was arrested on the 1st of November at 3:28 am on Bruce Street and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 1st of November around 3:25 am city police observed a black Pontiac Sunfire travelling at a high rate of speed, weaving all over the road and failing to stop for stop signs in the downtown area. Police were able to stop the vehicle on Bruce Street and at the time, the driver, the accused, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He is to appear in court on the 8th of December.

Female Arrested after Shoplifting

33 year-old Jodie Speta of 36 Bowker Street was arrested on the 1st of November at 1:57 pm at Rome’s Independent Grocers and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that the accused attended at the grocers and stole lip balm and an air freshener. She was apprehended by store security and held for police. She is to appear in court on the 1st of December.
