Two Males Arrested with a Break and Enter Incident involving a Stolen Vehicle

51 year-old Glen Stevens of no fixed address and 45 year-old Ronald Marini of Hwy 551 Searchmont, Ontario were arrested on the 21st of June at approximately 2:36 am and charged each with one count of break, enter and commit, one count of possession of housebreaking tools, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of theft over $5,000.00. Glen Stevens was also charged with one count of fail to stop for police and threaten death or bodily harm.

It is alleged that one the 21st of June at approximately 2:38 am the two were in possession of a stolen 1989 Chevy truck when the driver, the accused Glen Stevens drove the truck through the front wall and door of Paquette’s Confectionary Store on Korah Road. Once inside the store, the two stole the ATM machine, put it into the rear of the truck and sped away westbound on Douglas Street. Police attended in the area after being called by witnesses. The suspect vehicle was observed by city police on Douglas Street and the roof lights and siren were activated in attempts to stop the vehicle. The driver would not stop resulting in a short pursuit. The truck stopped on Spadina Avenue and the two fled on foot. The two were quickly apprehended by police. The accused, Ronald Marini was a passenger in the truck.
When being arrested, the accused Glen Stevens threatened one of the officers.

Youths Arrested For Shoplifting Spree

A 17 year-old male youth and a 14 year-old female youth were arrested on the 20th of June at 3:30 pm at the Station Mall and regarding a shoplifting spree at several stores in the Mall. The 17 year-old is charged with five counts of theft under $5,000.00 and one count of breach of probation and is to appear in bail court this morning.
The 14 year-old is charged with five counts of theft under $5,000.00.
It is alleged that the two attended at several stores in the Station Mall and stole clothes and cologne. The two were apprehended in Sears by store security and held for police. Through further investigation, officer discovered that they attended at the Cambrian Mall and stole articles from Winners.

Domestic Related Arrests

1) A 34 year-old male was arrested on the 21st of June at the police station regarding a domestic related incident. He is charged with one count of assault, on count of break, enter and commit and three counts of breach of a release document. It is alleged that approximately 3:30 am of the 21st of June the accused broke into the residence of his ex common law spouse and assaulted her by grabbing her around the neck. The victim received non-life threading injuries that did not require medical attention. The accused turned himself in later that night at the police station. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

2) A 44 year-old male was arrested early this morning at his residence at approximately 5:15 am regarding a domestic related incident. The accused has been charged with two counts of assault and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that just after 4 am this morning the accused assaulted his common law spouse by pulling her hair, slapping her, kicking her and throwing her to the ground. He also threatened to kill her. Officers investigating the incident learned that the accused had assaulted the same victim at their residence the previous day by kicking her. The victim received non-life threatening injuries that did not require medical attention.

Impaired Driving Related Arrests

1) 44 year-old Daniel Sampson of 77 Spadina Avenue was arrested on the 22nd of June at 2:23 am and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. The 22nd of June City police received information regarding a possible impaired driver that was in the area of Spadina Avenue. Officers located the vehicle, stopped and checked the driver who was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and is to appear in court on the 28th of July.

Male Arrested for Breaking into a Residence of a Male Known to Him and Making Threats

29 year-old Chad Guerin of #2-754 Wellington Street East was arrested on the 23rd of June at 1:02 am on Wellington Street East and charged with one count break, enter with intent and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 23rd of June just before 1:00 am the accused attended at a residence on Wellingtons Street East and broke into the residence of a male known to him and threatened to kill him. He is to appear in court on the 28th of July.

Male Arrested For Going Through Vehicles

23 year-old Jeffrey Godson-Roy of #2-23 Elliott Road was arrested on the 20th of June at 11 pm on Johnson Avenue and charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of trespassing at night, one count of breach of probation and one count of intoxicated in a public place. It is alleged that on the 20th of June just before midnight city police received a call regarding a suspicious male going through backyards and driveways of residences in the Elliott Road area. Officers attended in the area of Johnson Avenue matching the description. At the time the accused was intoxicated and was found in possession of an insurance and ownership folder of a vehicle that he had just went through on Hill Street. He is to appear in court on the 28th of July.

Four Youths Charged with Assaulting a 50 year-old male

It is alleged that on the 21st of June in the area of Arizona Avenue and Shannon Road the four youths, two males and two females, attacked a 50 year-old male that was walking in the area. Witnesses observed the youths kicking, punching a pushing the male and contacted police. Police arrived and located the youths responsible in the area and the arrests were made. The victim known by one of the youths was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. All four youths are to appear in court on the 29th of July.

Robbery

On Saturday evening at approx. 8:45 pm, a young female was robbed of a small amount of money in the laneway behind the City Bus Terminal by three youths. It was reported that three youths, aged approx. 16-19 years, approached the victim when one of the suspects pulled out a six inch knife and demanded money. The suspects received a small amount of cash and then fled through the rear lanes. The suspects are described as:

1. Male, white, 16-19 years of age, 6’tall, wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and a baseball cap. This person pulled a knife on the victim and demanded money.
2. Male, white, 16-17 years of age, 6’ tall, blond hair, wearing jeans, a black hoodie and a baseball cap.
3. Male, Native Canadian, 17-19 years of age, 6’ tall, wearing a black hoodie.
