On December 16, 2013 Thunder Woman Nanie, age 33, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for finger prints. The accused was transported to the Sault Ste.

On December 16, 2013 Thunder Woman Nanie, age 33, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for finger prints. The accused was transported to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and later released on a promise to appear. The accused will appear in court on January 6, 2014 at 9 a.m.

Sault Ste. Marie City Police are notifying the public of winter driving conditions being experienced at this The cold temperatures are causing ice to form on local roads causing some areas to become extremely slippery. Between the hours of 9:30am and 3:00pm there have been 15 reported vehicle collisions. Please be more attentive and slow down.  Most of the accidents report on this bright sunny day could have been prevented.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in relation to a motor vehicle collision investigation. 

On Monday, December 16, 2013 at approximately 10:19 a.m. members of the Sault Ste Marie Police, Traffic Services responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Albert Street East at Dennis Street. The collision involved a silver four door Mazda, and a grey Pontiac minivan. One involved person was taken from the scene by EMS, suffering from non-life threatening injuries. 

The police are requesting that anyone who may have witnessed the incident or was in the immediate area at the time of the collision please contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police, Traffic Services with any information pertaining to this incident.

Two males, aged 14 and 15 were arrested by City Police officers last night and charged with theft. It is alleged they stole $100 from a female known to them while she was waiting to pay for items at the Wal-Mart on Great Northern Rd. They will both be appearing in Young Offenders Court on January 21, 2014.

A residence on Grosvenor Ave. was broken into yesterday afternoon. A back door was kicked in and a black diamond necklace, gold earrings, a Playstation 3 and games were stolen.
