Vehicles in the Indiana and Ohio Sts. Area were entered overnight. Cash, a passport and insurance slips were stolen.
At approximately 4 am this morning, City Police officers were checking males in the downtown area. One of the males, who appeared to be intoxicated, began acting suspicious, providing officers with different dates of births and advising he had no identification when in fact he did. The suspect then fled from the officers and was apprehended a short distance away. Upon further investigation the male was identified as 30 year old Tyler Jackson of Alberta. He was on several conditions of a recognizance including not to be outside the Province of Alberta, not to consume alcohol and be able to produce a copy of his release documents at all times. As a result, Mr. Jackson was charged with Obstruct Police, Resist arrest and 4 counts of Breaching a Recognizance. He will be appearing in Bail Court April 22nd.

On Sunday, April 20, at 2:24 p.m., a 29-year-old male was arrested for domestic related offences that happened over a lengthy period of time. The accused faces 4 counts of assault, 1 count of threatening to cause death, 1 count of threatening to cause bodily harm and 1 count of threatening to cause damage to property. The accused will appear in Weekend and Statutory Holiday court this morning.
City police are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the 400 block of McNabb Street yesterday afternoon. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken in the robbery. No one was hurt or injured.
