BREAK AND ENTERS
Patrick McMillan, age 47, of 288 Cathcart Street was charged on Wednesday with one count of break and enter at an apartment in the 10o block of Albert Street East. The Break and enter was reported on Sept 23. Among items taken were a piggy bank and a tin box containing cash. He has been released and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct 29.

Officers are investigating a break and enter to a garage in the 500 block of Bush Street that is believed to have happened sometime between 10pm Wednesday and 9am on Thursday. Padlocks were removed to gain entry. Stolen were a Black and Decker belt sander, a planer, and numerous wrenches and sockets.

ASSAULT WITH WEAPON CHARGE
Patrol officers arrested 40-year-old Gordon Stortini last evening and charged him with two counts of assault with a weapon and one charge of breach or recognizance. It is alleged he struck a 40-year-old male and a 29-year-old female with a metal walking cane on Albert West near Andrew Street. The investigation continu
