Second Male Arrested in Connection to Break and Enter to H.R.
Second Male Arrested in Connection to Break and Enter to H.R. Lash Men’s Wear:

The only entry for bail court appearance this morning is Andrew Pomber, age 19, of no fixed address who turned himself in on the 10th of October at 2:55 am on outstanding warrants in relation to the break and enter to H.R Lash Men’s Wear on John Street on the 4th of October at 4:40 am. It is alleged that when the accused turned himself in at the station he turned over a ‘Tommy Hllfiger sweater that he advised the officer he stole in the break and enter. He was charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of break, enter and commit, two counts of breach of a release document and three counts of breach of probation.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant for Assault:

25 year-old Lawrence Boissineau of 114 Hardwood Drive was arrested on the 9th Of October at 1:25 pm at the city police station after turning himseld in on an outstanding warrant and charged with one count of assault from an incident that occurred in November 2007 when he assaulted a male known to him. He was further charged with two counts of breach of a release document. He is to appear in court on the 17th of November.

City police Investigating Two Robberies from Overnight:

1) The first robbery was reported by a 24 year-old male victim on the 9th of October at 8:42 pm. The victim advised police that he was walking home from the Station Mall around 8:40 pm and was walking northbound towards Trelawne Avenue, cutting through a trail that runs behind the Cash and Carry Grocers when he was jumped by two males. The suspects stole a bottle of rye from the victim after punching and kicking him. The victim received non-life threatening injuries that did not require medical attention.
The only description provided was that the suspects were two males, with dark complexions, wearing hoodies.

2) The second robbery was reported to the police at around 2:19 am this morning. A 15 year-old female victim reported that she was walking to the Mac’s Mart on McNabb Street around 2 am this morning and when she was walking through the parking lot of Food Basics she was attacked by two males that were wearing hoodies. The suspects demanded money from the victim and went through her pockets. The victim was punched in the face numerous times and knocked to the ground. The suspects stole a package of cigarettes, a blue lighter and an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim. The victim, who received non-life threatening injuries, went home and police were notified. There is no further description of the suspects.
The investigation into the robberies continues.

City police would like to remind the public of some Personal Safety Tips Regarding Walking Alone:

- Avoid walking alone at night. If you must walk late at night, stay in well lit areas – avoid walking in dark and isolated areas – avoid dark alleys, shorts cuts, trails and vacant parking lots.
- If you think you are being followed, stay in well lit areas, seek safety in a public place and call 911 for help. Give the operator your location quickly so they can get help for you as fast as possible.
- Consider taking a taxi or asking a friend to walk with you or give you a ride.
- Keep a safety whistle on you that you can use to scare a potential criminal and summon help.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter Reports:

- A residence on Allard Street was entered sometime overnight on the 9th of October. Medication was reported stolen.
- A residence in the 400 block of Albert Street East was entered on the 10th of October around 2:33 am. A computer monitor and tower were reported stolen.

Theft Reports:

- Vehicles were entered on Harry Street and the 100 block of Wallace Terrace. A Pentax digital camera and a wallet were reported stolen.
- A trailer plate C8387J was stolen from a trailer on Dryden Avenue sometime during this week.
- Aluminum soffit and fascia, approximately 28 bundles of insulation and various metal pieces were reports token from the 1300 block of Wellington Street East.
- An Iron Horse Maverick bike was stolen from a residence on Hare Avenue.
