Downtown resident charged with uttering threats

Police say he threatened someone for knocking on his door

Police have reported that a victim was threatened on Monday when they showed up at a residence on Tower Street to inform residents of upcoming fire alarm testing.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service says that on June 22 at 4:50 p.m., the accused threatened to harm the victim if they knocked on the door again.

Police were called and as a result Timothy Constantineau, 58, was arrested and charged with uttering threats. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 31.
