On July 14, a 911 call came in about an assault that occurred in the 100 block of Brookfield Avenue, police said in a release.

“An investigation revealed the accused had assaulted two victims, causing serious physical injuries to one victim and minor physical injuries to the other. The accused and the victims are known to one another,” the release said.

On Nov. 19, police attended the accused’s residence and arrested Danny Schmidt, who is charged with:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Assault

Schmidt was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 3, 2025.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Schmidt is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
