On Tuesday, Sault Ste. Marie Police officers charged a 44-year-old man with break and enter and failure to comply with a probation order.
At around 3:45 p.m., a 911 caller reported a disturbance in the 0-100 block of Grandview Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located the accused—who matched the description of the suspect—inside the entryway of a residence. He was arrested.
An investigation revealed the accused had knocked on the victims’ door and, when they opened it, barged past them into the residence. The accused and victims are unknown to each other. No physical injuries were reported, police said.
Kevin Triplett is charged with:
- Break and Enter
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on March 17.
None of the accusations have been tested in court and the accused is innocent unless proven guilty.
