A 15-year-old who set fire to a shed in the city's west end earlier this year has been placed on probation for two years.
The teen pleaded guilty to arson causing damage, assault with a weapon and threatening to cause death last week when he appeared in youth court at the Sault Ste. Marie courthouse.
He can't be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The charges stemmed from a Feb. 16 incident that occurred on Cathcart Street.

Ontario Court Justice Melanie Dunn heard city police received a call from a person who said the teen was going to burn down the shed and had threatened him with a hammer.
Subsequently, the cops determined the accused had tried to assault the complainant with the tool after igniting the fire, prosecutor Trent Wilson said.
The blaze destroyed the shed, damaged an RV trailer and caused minor damage to a neighbouring house, he told Dunn.

Wilson said he couldn't provide the court with the dollar damage, but it "certainly sounds like it was significant."
These are serious matters, the assistant Crown noted, adding the offender is a youth with no prior record.
Wilson and defence lawyer Ken Walker jointly recommended the sentence after referring to psychological and psychiatric assessments provided to the court.
Dunn accepted the joint position, placing the teen on a 24-month youth probation order with conditions that include counselling, a requirement that he not molest, harass or physically interfere with two people, and write letters of apology.
As well, he is prohibited from possessing weapons and incendiary devices, and must provide a DNA sample.
Walker told the judge his client has already provided the letters.
