Really Really Free Market one of many programs at local hub dedicated to resource sharing

The Full Circle Mutual Aid Hub is making a meaningful impact for those who need it most in our community.

Nicole Dyble and Brenton Ellis created the hub in November 2023 with support from The Algoma Community Foundation.

Located at 285 Wilson Street (unit 208), their mission is clear: to create a welcoming, non-judgmental space where everyone can contribute what they can and take what they need.

Inspired by mutual aid initiatives across the country, they believe that everyone has something to offer, everyone needs help sometimes and our community is stronger and more resilient when we work together.

“At the heart of the Full Circle Mutual Aid Hub is the belief that everyone deserves access to essential resources,” said Nicole Dyble.

“We act as a conduit between people and resources, connecting the community with food—fresh, frozen and pantry items—as well as personal care supplies, including safer drug use items. We strive to create an environment where no one feels alone in their struggles," shares Dyble.

Exciting developments are on the horizon as they prepare to reintroduce their popular weekly art drop-in, where creativity meets community.

The hub will also soon offer a small selection of winter clothing available by donation.

“As the weather changes, it’s crucial to keep everyone warm and comfortable,” Dyble adds. “Every small gesture matters in ensuring our neighbours have what they need.”

This hub is not just a place for sharing resources, it’s a vibrant space for collaboration.

“We wanted to do what we could to create a non-judgmental space for people in our community to share with one another and provide low-barrier access to food and other resources,” says Dyble. “We encourage everyone to use this space for small meetings or programming.”

For the remainder of October, they’re open from 4 PM to 7 PM on Wednesdays and for the Really Really Free Market on Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"This market is a fantastic opportunity to give what you can and take what you need—think of it as a potluck for items," shared Dyble. 

They welcome donations of food and personal care items during their open hours and monetary contributions can be made in person or via e-transfer at [email protected].

“Every dollar helps keep our doors open and our shelves stocked,” emphasizes Dyble. “Your support means the world to us and our community.”
