Peacefully at home on Tuesday May 7, 2024.

“I would like to thank Everyone of our family and dear friends for being so special to me and a part of my life. In your own special ways, you have made my life loving and memorable and most recently having pulled together to make my life as easy as possible during my struggle with ALS. You all meant so much to me in different ways and for that I am Thankful and Grateful for all your love, compassion, words of wisdom and just who you were to me. I have encountered so many wonderful people in my 68 years, but the rock of my life is my husband Ron, who had made my life a special one from the day I met him. “I will love you forever and will watch over you through the stars, until we meet again”.

Survived by her loving husband Ron MacLeod, Mom Betté Thompson (predeceased by her wonderful Dad, Tippy Thompson), twin brother Bill (Paula), brothers Brian (Carolyn) and Brent (Paula Marie) and sister-in-law Val MacLeod (Frank Kurucz).

Mickey will be dearly missed by the Thompson Kids; Tyler (Aly), Trey, Brett (Jessica), Brennon, Andrew, Adam, Bryce and Carly. As well as Mitchell and Drew Reinholz, Mickey’s Godsons who have always had a special place in her heart.

Also survived by her uncle Don (Val) Barill and her aunts Dolores (late Roy) Siegman, Barbarita (late Bill) Watson, Phyllis Scott (late Gil) and many loving and cherished cousins and friends.

Predeceased by her in-laws Jackie and Jennine MacLeod. Remembered by Fern (Einar) Sandvik, Beth (late Harold) Kerns, and the late Don (Elaine)McFarling, who always made Mickey feel like one of their very own nieces.

As per Mickey’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday May 11, 2024, at 11:00am. Please meet at the Cemetery Chapel for 10:50.
