Anyone who has visited R&B Lottery Shop's previous Queen Street location near Ernie's Cafe knows one thing for sure – it was cramped. Like, really cramped.
With current provincial COVID-19 restrictions on social distancing, business would have been impossible at this tiny shop.
So, Roman and Betty Bruzas, with the help of their son Reuben, decided to move the shop to a larger space located at the corner of Queen East and Tancred Street.
SooToday cameras recently paid a visit to the new space to catch up with the Bruzas family.
Being the last "mom and pop" shop located in the Sault's downtown core is something Roman is very proud of.
"It doesn't happen overnight," he explained. "It took 21 years of hard work and dedication."
