VIDEO: New restaurant rises from former Sunset Noodle House

'Là Anh is a conductive space, cozy, inviting, where food is art and celebrated with good company'

Sunset Noodle House on Spring Street is no more, replaced by a revamped Vietnamese restaurant called Là Anh.

Starting in Batchawana Bay and later expanding to the Sault, Sunset Noodle House introduced the community to Vietnamese cuisine becoming well known for their Phở and Vietnamese coffee.

"We are no longer a noodle house" says co-owner Chan Ngo. "We want this to be a place where you come with friends, your family to have good conversation and relish in the moment while enjoying amazing food."

The rebranded restaurant now features signature Tapas, a new line of drinks and later hours.

"Sometimes your friend orders something that you never even knew you wanted, but because it's there, you get to try it," Chan says. "You're opening yourself up to new experiences."

The new menu items are something Chan is proud to have meticulously refined. The Vietnamese pizza and sushi in particular are items that took a lot of tweaking.

"It's about finding that perfect balance," she says. "It doesn't happen in a flash. We scrutinized it over and over until we know we have something that will wow you."

Là Anh is located at 133 Spring Street.

"Everything we do comes from passion," Chan says. "Most people don't realize how intimate cooking is. When you come in you're trusting me, you're trusting this restaurant to make you this wholesome meal. That trust is something we cherish and carry into the kitchen."
