Marcel Lamoureux, a millwright by trade, suffered health issues that forced him into an early retirement.
Not one to take bad news lying down, he went back to school to find a new path within his new limitations.
One cannot escape their destiny, it seems, and all roads led back to his lifelong passion – mechanical work.
"A millwright is basically an industrial maintenance mechanic. I've worked with these tools all my life," says Lamoureux on being a residential mechanic. "When I broke my hip, they sent me to all different kinds of schooling... I was told basically, your a mechanic, that's it!"
And he couldn't be happier about that.
From his small backyard garage, word quickly spread and before he knew it Marcel's Automotive was in need of a space that could accommodate his growing clientele base.
