Spooky season is upon us!

If you are looking for a fun-filled spooky—but not too spooky—night out for the whole family, come check out Pumpkin Walk on the Ridge, October 19 at Crimson Ridge, 418 Fourth Line West, Sault Ste Marie.

“Pumpkin Walk on the Ridge is your chance to take a one-kilometre walk along our ridge and view all of the beautiful…and scary…lit up jack-o-lanterns that have been submitted in our pumpkin carving contest!” explained an event spokesperson. “

There will be trick or treating for the kids all along the Northern Snow Trail, as well. Costumes are definitely encouraged!”

In addition to the walk and trick or treating, the evening, which runs from 6 to 9 p.m., will also include a fall photo booth, Hallowe’en décor and music, hot chocolate and slushies, hot dogs and pulled pork, a Bakes By Babs cupcake decorating bar, and there will be adult beverages available.

“The Pumpkin Contest judging will happen at 8 p.m., and at 8:30, we will have an incredible fireworks display, which is sponsored by Northside Auto Group, to finish off the evening,” said the spokesperson.

Families can come for the whole evening and know there will be lots of food, drinks, and activities for everyone to enjoy the event. Admission to the event is a canned food donation for the Soup Kitchen.

“We want to host a fun evening and help our local food centre at the same time. We are excited to be able to donate lots of canned food as a result of this event!”

As part of its community support, Northside Auto Group will be presenting a $3,500 cheque to THRIVE in support of their programs to help children and youth reach their highest potential.

“We are so happy to sponsor the fireworks for this fun Hallowe’en event for those in our community,” said Mario Palumbo, Dealer Principal at Northside Auto Group. “And donating to THRIVE is something we are excited to do. Community is so important to all of us.”

Pumpkin Walk on the Ridge is happening October 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Crimson Ridge. Don’t forget your canned good donation for entry!
