In the heart of Sault Ste. Marie, a new beauty and self-care clinic is about to open its doors.

Jenesis Medical Aesthetics, founded by Tianna McCuaig, promises a natural approach to enhancing beauty, combining medical expertise with personal care. As the official opening date on Aug. 19 approaches, McCuaig shares her journey, philosophy, and future vision for her clinic.

McCuaig’s foray into the field of medical aesthetics began with her education in Respiratory Therapy in North Bay. Motivated by her father's chronic respiratory illness, she aimed to make a difference in the lives of those suffering from similar conditions. Her career at Sault Area Hospital, coupled with advanced training with the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine in Toronto, provided the foundation for her expertise.

"Helping save lives in the hospital is incredibly rewarding," McCuaig reflects. "But starting Jenesis Medical Aesthetics allows me to bring joy and confidence to people, which is equally fulfilling."

McCuaig emphasizes a tailored, transparent approach to aesthetics. "Botox and fillers are not one-size-fits-all. Each face is unique, and it's crucial to educate clients about the treatments," she explains.

Her commitment to natural beauty means ensuring treatments enhance rather than transform a client's appearance.

Education is a cornerstone of her practice, ensuring clients understand the treatments and trust their injectors. "Open discussions about clients' goals are essential. I want them to feel confident and informed about their choices," she says.

She prioritizes aligning enhancements with clients' natural beauty rather than creating unrealistic transformations. She notes that "Assessing a client's age, skin texture, muscle placement, and bone structure helps determine the best approach."

Safety and confidentiality are paramount at Jenesis Medical Aesthetics. McCuaig’s medical background instills a high standard of cleanliness and preparation. "Even minimally invasive treatments carry risks, so maintaining a safe environment is crucial," she asserts.

McCuaig believes in fostering friendly, honest relationships with clients. "Comfort and honesty are key. By setting realistic expectations, clients can trust that they are making informed decisions," she states.

Jenesis Medical Aesthetics offers a variety of treatments, with Botox being particularly popular for its natural results and minimal discomfort. McCuaig is certified in chemical peels and offers a medical-grade skincare line from INNOAESTHETICS.

The grand opening on Aug. 19 with an open house a day earlier, on Aug. 18 at the new clinic space on 373 McNabb Street, Unit #3. Guests can meet McCuaig, tour the facility, and participate in a giveaway worth $300 to be used on any service. Summer promotions are also available for early appointments.

Clients can book appointments through the clinic's website or the booking software “Jane". The consultation process is designed to be thorough and reassuring, ensuring clients feel confident in their choices.

McCuaig’s approach to natural aesthetics aims to reshape the narrative surrounding medical injectables. "Natural-looking enhancements are becoming more popular. My goal is to change perceptions and promote a new perspective on aesthetic treatments," she concludes.

As Jenesis Medical Aesthetics opens its doors, Tianna McCuaig stands ready to help her clients embrace their natural beauty with confidence and care.
