Henderson Metal has been a fixture in the Sault Ste. Marie community since 1954.
General Manager Kerri Fryia explained, “We are celebrating 70 years in the Sault in 2024 and have been family owned and operated for over 30 years. We have sheet metal workers, refrigeration and air conditioning technicians, electricians, plumbers, and gas fitters. Henderson is also recognized as an expert in the field of building management systems.”
“We really believe in supporting our community, not only through our products and services but also through sponsorships and support for local charities,” continued Fryia. “This year, we sponsored the Sault Female Hockey Association U11 team. My great-niece is a team member, so it was nice to support her. We also sponsored a couple of the junior Greyhounds teams, and we supported the West End T-Ball League as well. They are so cute,” she laughed. “It feels wonderful to be able to support youth in our community this way.”
Every Christmas, the team at Henderson also makes the effort to write a cheque to some key local charities in the community. “This year, we supported Soo Today’s 12 Days of Christmas. Our donation will go towards helping a woman and her two daughters have a lovely spa day and night at a local hotel, with food and drinks included,” said Fryia.
But that’s not all. Henderson Metal also wrote Christmas cheques for the Sault Ste Marie Humane Society, and the Sault Area Hospital Foundation, this holiday season. “We live in a wonderful community and have been a part of it for so long,” said Fryia. “Part of what makes this community so good is the care and compassion that we all show for each other. We believe that supporting each other is a win for everyone.”
