135 teams and around 1000 people came out to the Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tournament in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on Saturday.
Part of Portage Avenue was closed off and pop-up basketball courts filled the street for the two-day weekend event.
The Macker, as it is sometimes referred to, can be described as a fun-filled family outdoor basketball tournament with no big cash prizes or high stakes but includes boat loads of people and fun for anyone aged 10-65.
On Saturday, the event hosted a slam dunk competition and Elijah Suffel, 14, from Sault Ste. Marie, ON was the youngest competitor.
Suffel came in fourth place at the competition beating others who were older and more experienced.
