Visitors enjoyed walking the walls of the Soo Locks at the facility's annual open house, as well as taking a look at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers vehicles and U.S. and Canadian Coast Guard vessels, June 30, 2017.
A Locks official told us the open house attracts up to 10,000 visitors annually.
Tours of the Cloverland Electric Cooperative hydroelectric plant were also available, and a Slashin' Ash car show and cruise of Sault Michigan's Ashmun Street was scheduled to take place in the evening.
