TRUCK STOLEN FROM DRIVEWAY

(Blind River, ON.) At 4:00 a.m. on September a resident of Pearson Ave in Blind River was watching television in his living room when he heard voices outside the window. He looked outside and observed a male leaving the driveway in his father’s truck with a female passenger. He pursued the truck until it disappeared into the darkness. Police were called and a search of the area was conducted with negative results. Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 1995 GMC Sonoma pick up truck red in color. There are thin silver decorative stripes on the side - similar to waves. At the time the vehicle was stolen it had an Ontario Licence plate of 5790WK.

Police want to remind everyone not to leave keys or other valuables in your unlocked vehicle. Even though we live in small communities and trust our neighbours we should not make it easy for would be thieves.

If you have any information, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). With Crime Stoppers all they want is your information and NOT you name. You will not have to testify in court and could be paid for your information.
