TV AND XBOX STOLEN

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) –The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating a break, enter and theft at a residence on Hillside Drive North in Elliot Lake.

The victim reports that sometime between 8:00 p.m. on September 11, 2011 and 12:30 a.m. September 12, 2011 unknown person(s) entered the locked residence and removed a 32 inch flat screen TV and an XBox 360. At the time of the report these are the only items noted to be missing.


ALTERCATION NETS SEVERAL CHARGES FOR LOCAL YOUTH


(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – September 12, 2011 at approximately 4:02 p.m. police were called to a residence on Algom Road in Elliot Lake regarding a possible assault.

On scene police learned that the suspect had attended the residence and allegedly assaulted the victims.

Charged with the following is a 17-year-old male youth of Elliot Lake.

Assault X2
Break and Enter
Unlawfully in Dwelling House
Possession of Cannabis
Failure to comply X3

The accused remains in custody awaiting a Bail Hearing.

The name of the youth will not be released under the jurisdiction of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

MALE CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – The East Algoma OPP has charged one male after investigating a possible assault. September 09, 2011 at approximately 8:40 p.m, Police received a call to attend an apartment complex on Washington Crescent.

On scene police learned that a group of residents were sitting outside when the suspect attended the area and told the group to be quiet. A short time later, one resident attended the kitchen area when he was allegedly approached by the suspect. Words were exchanged and the suspect allegedly pushed the victim causing him to fall.

Charged with Assault is Douglas PARKS (72) of Elliot Lake.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on November 1, 2011.

TRAFFIC STOP REVEALS SUSPENDED DRIVER

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – On September 09, 2011 at approximately 8:28 p.m. an officer of the East Algoma OPP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 108 in Elliot Lake.

The vehicle stop revealed that the driver was suspended. Through investigation marihuana was located.

Charged with the following is Phillipe NAUBERT (35) of Sudbury.

Possession of a controlled substance
Drive motor vehicle with no currently validated permit

The accused is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court December 6, 2011.

ELLIOT LAKE MALE CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – On September 10, 2011 police received information regarding a possible sexual assault.

Through investigation police learned that on September 9, 2011 the suspect allegedly met the victim at a local establishment and later in the evening sexually assaulted the victim.

Charged with Sexual Assault is Brendan CHAMPAGNE (30) of Elliot Lake.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court November 1, 2011
